Ronald Gene "Ron" Schell, 60, of Shawnee, KS formerly of Topeka, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 11, 2018. Ron was born September 5, 1957, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Joe Schell and Margie (Shipp) Williams. Ron grew up in Fayetteville, Arkansas and attended Fayetteville High School.
Ron moved to Lawrence, KS where he met his wife, Kristin Duitsman of Linn, KS. He and Kristin were married July 30, 1983 in Oskaloosa, KS. Ron lived with his family in Topeka, KS before moving to Shawnee, KS to be close to his son and grandsons.

Ron spent his career as an over-the-road truck driver. He has spent the last 15 years with Koch Industries. Ron has received awards in the trucking industry including Million Mile Club. He was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church, of Topeka. Ron enjoyed cooking, fishing, and spending time with his family. He loved spending time with his wife, son and family fishing on the lake.

He was preceded in death by his father Joe Schell, and a brother, Larry Schell, in-laws Ervin and Lola Duitsman.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Kristin; and his son: Christopher Schell, wife, Jamie and grandson’s Caden and Grayson of Olathe, KS. Other survivors include his mother, Margie Williams of Fayetteville, AR; a brother, Jack Schell of Fayetteville, AR; sister in-law, Carol Kobuszewski, husband Mike of Topeka, KS; brother-in-law, Don Duitsman, wife, Linda of Lincoln, NE; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 4211 NW Topeka Blvd., Topeka. Private inurnment will be at Mount Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Parker-Price Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Learning Quest c/o the funeral home, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608, for Ron's grandsons' education fund.
