Zack Palmer
Dec. 22, 1978 - Nov. 26, 2009
Zack would not want us to dwell on his death, but remember his life. He was always smiling and making others laugh. His greatest accomplishment was his daughter, Saige and the special bond he shared with her. Anyone who knew Zack, knew his daughter, whether they had met her or not. Zack was happiest when he was spending time with her. He also enjoyed a very close relationship with his brother R.C., they were best friends and recently had begun to work together and had been spending a great deal of time with one another, but they have always been very close, from the time Zack could talk he referred to R.C. as "brother". Although Zack's parents had divorced he remained close to both his mother and father.
Zack was a very gifted artist and loved to draw and create, while still in Jr. High Zack created a comic book and produced several different editions he shared with his family and friends.
Zack lived his entire life in Topeka. He was born at St. Francis Hospital Dec. 22, 1978 coming home on Christmas Day in a red Christmas stocking. He attended Rochester Grade School, West Indianola Grade School, Northern Hills Junior High and graduated from Seaman High School in 1997. He was employed by Pizza Hut in Topeka for 12 years.
To say Zack was a simple man would be true, but simple would mean he didn't require a lot of possessions, he just wanted to spend time with those he loved and be with his friends playing cards or just hanging out.
He is survived by his daughter, Saige; his brother, R.C. Palmer; his father, Bert R. Palmer; his mother, Vicky C. Reis and her husband, Thomas Reis; his aunt, Cheryl Wathen and her husband, Daniel Wathen; his aunt, Glenda McGarity all of Topeka. his aunt, Darlene Allen of Indiana; his aunt, Bonnie Stillie and her husband, Rick Stillie of Alaska and his Grandma, Myrtle D. Palmer of Topeka. Several great aunts and cousins.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, 1 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608. Interment will follow at Silver Lake Cemetery.
