William Louis (Lou) Stewart passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018. He was born January 4, 1933 the son of William Leonard Stewart and Mable Marion (Teeter) Stewart. He graduated from Wamego High School in 1951 and attended Kansas State University. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, and served during the Korean War.
Lou was a salesman for Nabisco, retiring after 28 years.
He was a member of the Wamego Methodist Church, Mayetta Masonic Lodge no. 393 A.F. & A.M., Scottish Rite, Arab Shrine, American Legion, V.F.W., WWII Museum and Wall of Sports Hall of Fame.
Survivors include two daughters, Debra Stewart of Topeka, Lisa Seymour of Kansas City; two granddaughters, Alanna Seymour and Margeaux Seymour, both of Kansas City. A son, Daniel Stewart preceded him in death in 2013.
Other survivors are siblings Frances Bishop and Carl Stewart. Siblings Leroy Stewart, Jack Stewart and Cleo Weixelman all preceded him in death.
Mr. Stewart was cremated and at his request there will be no services.
