William Arthur Hatfield

William Arthur Hatfield, 77, Topeka, died Mon., Oct. 20, 2008, at Stormont-Vail Hospital. He was born Dec. 22, 1930, in Topeka, the son of Lloyd O. and Hazel M. (Miller) Hatfield.

Bill was an over-the-road truck driver ending his career as an owner/operator of his own truck. He was married to Patsy Ann Crowley on Jan. 20, 1951, in Topeka. She preceded him in death on Jan. 20, 2007.

Surviving are a daughter: Pamela S. Koerth of Topeka; a son: Michael W. Hatfield of Colorado Springs, CO; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Fri., Oct. 24, 2008, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery. Bill will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Thurs., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.
