She was born September 4, 1921 in Cherokee, Kansas, the daughter of Hughie Eugene and Nettie Jane (Scales) Lane.
Wilda married Keith Melvin Troutman on March 24, 1946 in Girard, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include her son, Melvin Troutman of McFarland, KS; her daughter, Freda Warfield of Topeka; 7 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a step-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence at 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 8, 2008 to go in procession for a graveside service at 11 a.m., at the West Lawn Memorial Gardens, Topeka. Mrs. Troutman will lie in state 3-9 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 1653, Topeka, KS 66601-1653.
