Wesley “Wes” Paul Stiner, age 63 of Topeka passed away Friday morning, October 19, 2018 at Plaza West Care Home in Topeka. Wes was born August 20, 1955 in Emporia the son of Bob and Earldene Harrington Stiner. Wes graduated from Emporia High School with the class of 1974. Wes was a member of the First Christian Church in Topeka. He participated in the Special Olympics. He worked and was active with the wonderful people at the Easter Seals Capper Foundation. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Stiner in 2005, and a sister, Beverly Sue Stiner-Vanley in 2000. He is survived by his parents, Bob and Earldene Stiner of Emporia; a brother, Ed (Mary) Stiner of Bellville, Kansas; a sister, JoAn (Gary) Lucy of Seattle, WA and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a longtime friend, Wendy Coates.
Memorial services will be Friday, October 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Topeka. Other services will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the Bethel Baptist Church in Emporia. Private family inurnment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Emporia. Donations may be made to the Easter Seals Capper Foundation or the Helping Hands Humane Shelter and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home. davidsonfuneral.com
