Wendelyn Rae (Reser) Parman, known to friends and family as Wendy, passed away on July 4, 2024, at the age of 73 in Topeka, Kansas. Born on March 8, 1951, in Topeka, she was the daughter of the late Cayrl and Woodrow Reser. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Michael A. Parman, and her brothers Woodrow Reser (her twin) and Lee Reser.
Wendy graduated from Topeka High and soon began a distinguished career at Southwestern Bell Telephone, where she started as a switchboard operator at the age of 18. She dedicated 35 years to the company, retiring as a supervisor. Known for her outgoing and intelligent nature, Wendy believed there was no such thing as a stranger, only friends yet to be met. A dedicated mother, grandmother, and sister, she had a profound love for her family and cherished the time spent with them.
She is survived by her daughters, Kristen Hampton (Sandy LeVar) of Littleton, CO and Staci Agapiou of Sherman Oaks, CA; grandsons, Maxwell and Maddox Hampton of Littleton, CO; and sisters, Sheryl Morris of Topeka, KS; Diane Kraak of Meriden, KS; and Carolyn Stull of Oswego, KS. Wendy was great lover of pizza whose hobbies included watching Royals baseball and enjoying some of her favorite TV shows, including "Psych" and "Supernatural."
Services will be held at Parker-Price & Davidson Cremations, funeral and Receptions, 245 NW Independence, in Topeka, KS on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 2 pm with a reception to follow from 3-5 pm. The funeral home will be assisting the family during this time. Wendy's life was a testament to the joy of connection, the pursuit of knowledge, and a deep-seated love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
