Wayne L. Pendleton, 98, of Silver Lake, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Rossville Health Care. He was born June 29, 1926 in Topeka the son of Elijah “Lidge” Pendleton and Laura Jane (Reser) Pendleton. He was raised on his families’ farm south of Silver Lake and graduated from high school at Silver Lake. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a pressman by trade and owned and operated several printing companies in Topeka before retiring.
He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles and traveling. He was a silversmith and enjoyed making jewelry with silver. Wayne had been a member of Post #400 of the American Legion.
He was married to Ruth Haglund. She preceded him in death om July 12, 1995.
Survivors include his son, Rick Pendleton and wife Jeanette of Topeka; grandchildren, Shannon O’Connor and husband Michael and Ryan Pendleton and great-grandchildren, Kamryan Pendleton, Aiden Pendleton and Ashton O’Connor.
