Warren A. Wohler, 92, Manhattan, died Thursday, August 12, 2010, at Stoneybrook Retirement Center. He was born at Green, on January 26, 1918, to Paul B. and Emma (Haller) Wohler. Warren attended Bodaville and Peach Grove grade schools and graduated from Randolph High School in 1936.
In June 1937, Warren and Helen Copeland were married, and were later divorced in 1958.
Warren was a farmer, and later a professional housepainter.
In February 1961, Warren and Eva Bergsten were married at the Clay Center Covenant parsonage. They made their home in Topeka, and later Silver Lake. Warren and Eva were members of the Brookwood Covenant Church for 44+ years. During those years, he served as a trustee member and sang in the choir. He was also a former member of Farmers' Lodge # 166, AF & AM, in Randolph, Kansas.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Pauline; and 3 brothers, Bob, Glenn, and Charlie. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Eva, and her son, Alan Bergsten. He is survived by three sons: Jim Wohler, Manhattan, Lynn Wohler (Pam), Centennial, CO., and Craig Wohler (Sue), Prairie Village, 5 grand-children, and 3 great-grandchildren. Three sisters survive Warren: Katie Weik, of Randolph, Alyce Springer, of Riley, and Mary Scott, of Midland, Texas. He is also survived by Eva's children John Bergsten, of Kansas City, MO., and Janice Arms, of Topeka.
Graveside services will be at Randolph Fancy Creek Cemetery on Saturday, September 18th, at 11:00 A.M.
