Wanda Sue Saile

Wanda Sue (Gifford) Saile, 56, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Midland Hospice House.
Wanda was born August 2, 1952 in Ottawa, KS to Carl "Keith" and Zelda (Reekie) Gifford. She was baptized in the Church of Christ. She was a 1971 graduate of Waverly High School and attended Clark's Business School in Topeka. Wanda was a 37-year resident of Topeka. She had worked for Topeka 501 School District, Chick-a-Dee Café, and as a day manager at Laribee's Steakhouse. Wanda enjoyed her cats, computers, riding motorcycles, camping, fishing, crocheting, studying genealogy, attending family functions, driving antique tractors, and traveling.
Survivors include her loving husband of 35 years, David J. Saile, both parents, her children; Dawn Saile of Topeka and Travis Saile of Atwater, CA, a granddaughter, Jennifer Lazo of San Diego, CA, three brothers; Chris (Elaine) Gifford of Waverly, Dale (Sandy) Gifford of Waverly, and Harry (Michelle) Gifford of Chapman, two sisters; Donna (Owen) Ritchal of McCune and Karen (Doug) Piper of Waverly, a sister-in-law, Stacy (Charlie) Jones of Topeka, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Wanda will lie in state after 3:00 pm, with visitation to be from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm, July 23rd, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 24th, 1:00 pm, also at the Penwell-Gable Parker-Price Chapel. Tim Douthart, Evangelist, Indiana Ave. Church of Christ, will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
