OBITUARY: Wanda P. Godlove
Wanda P. Godlove, 94, Topeka, went to be with the Lord on Sat., Feb. 25, 2012, at Plaza West Care Home. She was the daughter of Lloyd B. and Nettie (Lemon) Steele born on June 16, 1917, in Courtney, MO. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Godlove, her parents, brothers: Marlan, Merle, Melvin, Norman, Dale, and Robert; and sisters: Una (Pat) and Erma. Wanda was employed by Woolworth's for many years. She was a long-time, active member of West Side Christian Church. She is survived by sisters: Edna Snook, Ethel Klass, and Ruby Blossom; brother: Carl Steele; nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Fri., March 2, 2012, at West Side Christian Church. Interment in Topeka Cemetery. Wanda will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Thurs., at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Plaza West, 1570 SW Westport Drive, Topeka, KS 66604, West Side Christian Church, 432 SW Lindenwood Ave., Topeka, KS 66606, or the charity of the donor's choice.
