Walter L. Peach, 79, of Topeka passed away on March 14, 2025. He was born April 24, 1945 at Owensville, Indiana the son of Henry and Delphia. He was raised on a farm at Owensville, Indiana and graduated from high school there. Follow his schooling, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Walter served two different stints in the Air Force. He served as a Military Policeman. While in the service he during the Vietnam War at an Air Force Base in Thailand. Walter served at Forbes Air Force Base in Topeka where he met Virginia Eisele of Topeka. Following his time in the service he worked for the City of Topeka Water Department, at the Food 4 Less Distribution Center as a manager and had his own handyman business. He enjoyed fishing at the Shawnee State Lake. Walter was a member of the VFW Post in Holton.
Walter and Virginia were married on August 6, 1965 in Topeka.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Peach; children, Karen Shoemaker (Travis) of Topeka, Steve Peach (Amy) of Topeka and Angie Cummings (Joe) of Perry; grandchildren, Kirsten Reichardt of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Allen Koch of Topeka, Tyler Peach of Dekalb, Missouri, Roan Cummings and Gabby Cummings both of Topeka; and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Elanor Mounts, Robert Peach, Herman Peach, and Norma White.
Graveside services and military honors will be conducted at the Leavenworth National Cemetery at 1:30 pm on Monday, March 24, 2025. The date and time are pending. Parker-Price & Davidson Cremations and Funerals, 245 NW Independence, Topeka, Kansas 66608 are assisting the family.
