Dilley
Walter "Jerry" J. Dilley, 59, Topeka, died Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at his home.
Mr. Dilley was a boiler technician fireman for the state of Kansas for many years. He also had worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was born Dec. 4, 1943, in Topeka, to Isaac and Emma Leona Dodge Dilley. He lived most of his life in Topeka.
Mr. Dilley was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter No. 604.
Survivors include a sister, Janice Tinker, Topeka; a daughter, Tammy Shur, Fayetteville, N.C.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Parker-Price Mortuary. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Chapter No. 604 of the Vietnam Veterans of America will conduct military honors at the graveside. Mr. Dilley will lie in state at the mortuary after noon Sunday. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m.
