Walter Griffin

Walter Leo Griffin, 64, of Topeka, passed away, Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at his home.

He was born March 30, 1941 in Williamsburg, Kansas the son of Thomas and Anna McMillan Griffin.

Walter was an independent Truck Driver his entire working career. He was a member of the Teamsters Union.

He married Violet Goheen August 24, 1968 in Topeka. She survives at the home. Other survivors include, his children, Albert Griffin, Dotti Finan, Monty Coop and LouAnn Ackors all of Topeka; one brother, "Mike" Roy C. Griffin, Cherryvale, KS; one sister, Leota Bowers, Topeka; his grandchildren, Daniel Fultz, Heather Fultz, Richard Finan, Jr., Stormie Finan, and nine step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Griffin and one sister Lucille Crevston.

Graveside services will be held 10:00am Friday, September 16, 2005 at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Mr. Griffin will lie in state from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Penwell-Gabel Parker Price Chapel.
