Anna Mae Cummings, 83, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2006 at a Topeka hospital. She was born on September 5, 1922 in Hartford, KS, the daughter of Allen and Mildred Claunch Hooper. She graduated from Seaman High School. She lived most of her life in Topeka. She was employed by Hallmark Cards as a supervisor for many years and was also employed by Highland Park Bank and Trust. She was a member of Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene as well as serving as the office coordinator for nineteen years. Anna Mae married John F. Cummings, Jr. on April 20, 1940 in Oskaloosa. He preceded her in death on December 28, 1985. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence Hooper. Survivors include one son, John A. Cummings and wife, Sandra of Topeka, two granddaughters, Traci Cummings of Topeka, Holly Joy and husband, Tracy of Ardmore, OK, three great-grandchildren, Christian Allen, Hanah Ellane and Robert Dean all of Ardmore, OK. and many, many friends. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Anna Mae will not lie in state at the funeral home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene, 3501 S.W.
