W. Wayne Manis

Windle "Wayne" Manis, 86, Colby, formerly of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013.
Wayne was born January 31, 1927 in Soldier, the son of Evertt and Lena (Reed) Manis.
He was employed by the City of Topeka with the Parks and Recreation division for many years.
He enjoyed dancing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include children, Karen Adelman, Colby, Katina Manis, Kendra Manis, Linda Keithley, Arlene Washburn, Deloris Manis, Charles Manis, Carl Manis, all of Topeka; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sons, Lloyd , Frank and Edward; brothers, Marvin, Melvin, Leo, Lowell, Oat and Harold; and sisters, Ruby, Lorene and Stella.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel. Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery. Wayne will lie in state at the funeral home after 3:00 p.m. on Friday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
