Virginia P. Miles

Virginia P. Miles, 80, Topeka, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, at St. Francis Health Center ER. She was born May 23, 1923, in Gridley, to James C. and Virginia Mae Zinn Dennison. She had resided in Topeka most of her life. She married Earl "Floyd" Miles on April 6, 1946, in Kansas City. He died in 1982. Survivors include two daughters, Martha Monihen, Leonardville, and Pat Campbell, Hiawatha; two sons, Ed Miles and Howard Miles, both of Topeka; a sister, Helen Young, Long Beach, Calif.; a brother, John Dennison, Anaheim, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Parker-Price Mortuary. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Virginia Miles will lie in state at the mortuary after 3 p.m. Friday, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Childrens Hospitals and send in care of Arab Temple, 1305 S.
