OBITUARY: Virginia Lee Fisher
Virginia Lee Fisher, 86, Topeka, died Sun., Jan. 13, 2013. She was born Jan. 7, 1927, in St. Joseph, MO, the daughter of Harry S. and Elsie L. (Snow) Perkins.
She graduated from Topeka High School. Virginia was a member of Oakland Rebekah Lodge # 616 and Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority. Virginia and her husband operated Fisher Jewelry Store in Kingman for many years.
She was married to Robert E. Fisher on Aug. 18, 1946, in Topeka. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Kendal Krueger in June, 1996.
Surviving are 4 children: Randy Fisher (Kate) of Wichita, Craig Fisher of Salem, OR, Julie Rothenberg (Keith) of House Springs, MO, and Lynn Fisher of Fenton, MO; a sister: Shirley Mailen of Sacramento, CA; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Fri., Jan. 18, 2013, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka, followed by services conducted by Oakland Rebekah Lodge # 616. Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery, 4700 SW 17th, Topeka. Virginia will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Thurs., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.
