OBITUARY: Virginia Grace Jackson
Virginia Grace Jackson, 83, Silver Lake, died Sunday evening, April 15, 2007, at Midland Hospice. She was born April 29, 1923, in Parker, KS, the daughter of Cecil Vincent and Laura Frances Adams Dain.
Mrs. Jackson was an amateur genealogist and had previously sold real estate and insurance for Vee Gee's Real Estate and Insurance Company. She attended the Silver Lake United Methodist Church.
She married Howard A. Jackson on Dec. 24, 1939, in Parker. He preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 1991. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Jeannine Carey, on Sept. 7, 1968; and siblings Donald Dain, Ruth Ellen Hippensteel, and Willis Dain.
She is survived by two sons: Leroy Dean Jackson of Wamego and Charles Allen Jackson of Topeka; 2 daughters: Rosemary Jackson of Tombstone, AZ and E. Marcella Martin of Longmont, CO; twin foster daughters: Darlene Jackson and Elizabeth Jackson both of Silver Lake; a brother: Wesley Dain of Silver Lake; a sister: Nellie Spetter of Delia; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM, Thurs., April 19.2007, at the Silver Lake United Methodist Church. Private interment of cremains will be in Wabaunsee Cemetery.
