Victor Dominguez

Victor "Burke" Dominguez, 79, Topeka, went home to be with his Lord, January 15, 2024 at Stormont-Vail Hospital. He was a beloved husband, father, friend, grandfather and great-grandfather.  He was born April 26, 1944 in Topeka Kansas the son of Paul and Emma Martinez Dominguez.

Burke's greatest love is his family. He never met a stranger and enjoyed visiting with everyone. His three chihuahua puppies, Western and Army movies and Mexican music were additional joys in his life. He was strong in his faith and lived his life according to God.

He was married to Anita Selbach Dominguez on July 1, 1997. They were married for 26 years and together for 38 years. She survives at the home.

He leaves behind three sons, Mark (Barb) Dominguez, Topeka; Anthony (Cindy) Dominguez, Topeka, and John Paul Pennington, Mishawaka, Indiana. He also leaves behind four daughters, Martie (John) Cook, Topeka; Michele (Tom) Palmer, Olathe, Kansas; Angela (Chris) Heinen, Valley Falls, Kansas; and April Dominguez, Topeka.  Victor also had twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.  Victor leaves behind one sister Pauline (Aaron) Remfry, Topeka, Kansas and one brother Alfred “Fab” Dominguez also of Topeka.

Victor was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Eustler Miller; an infant daughter, Toni Jane Dominguez, his parents, Paul and Emma Dominguez, his three brothers, Manuel “Jun” Dominguez, Edward “Eddie” Dominguez and Larry Dominguez and his sister Rosemary Dominguez Hernandez.

Victor Dominguez worked for Ben Schreiner Construction, Topeka, Kansas from 1986 to 1997 when he left due to his health.  He also worked for Rolling Hills Health Center from 1997 to 2004.  Victor later worked for Manor Care Health Services from 2007 until his retirement in 2020.

Cremation is planned.  Memorial Services will be 10:00 am Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Davidson Funeral 1035 North Kansas Avenue, Topeka, Kansas. To leave a message for the family online please select the share memories button above.
