OBITUARY: Mrs. Versa (Hillebert) Blake
Mrs. Versa (Hillebert) Blake, 85, Topeka, died Mon., Dec. 3, 2007, at her home. She was born March 19, 1922, at Big Hill, KY, the daughter of Jesse J. and Margaret M. (Wilson) McHone.
She was a member of Women of the Moose. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Blake, and a daughter, Betty McKusker.
Surviving are 2 daughters: Pearl Ball of MN, and Frankie Paradies of Topeka; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Fri., Dec. 7, 2007, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Versa will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Thurs., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM, Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care, 200 SW Frazier Cir., Topeka, KS 66606-2800 or Arab Shrine Temple's Children's Hospital Travel Fund, 1305 South Kansas Ave., Topeka, KS 66612-1332.
