Vernon R. “Bugsy” Mosher, Jr., 75, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday July 26, 2022 at his home. He was born April 10, 1947 in Topeka the son of Vernon and Bonnie Allenworth Mosher. He attended Royal Valley High School. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1966-1970. Bugsy and his wife Susie owned and operated their store, That Place, for over 25 years in North Topeka. Bugsy had an amazing outlook on life and loved socializing with anyone and everyone. He thoroughly enjoyed telling jokes and playing pranks. Some of Bugsy’s favorite pastimes were buying inventory, fishing, and spending time with his many friends. He was a loving, dependable father and grandfather who would do anything for his family.
Bugsy married Carolyn “Susie” Sue Mentzer in Hoyt, Kansas on October 2, 1967.
Bugsy is survived by his children Todd Mosher (Paula), Carrie Mosher, and Toby Mosher (Rae); grandchildren, Gaige Jackman (Emily) and Jessica Mosher; siblings, Dennis, Debbie and Cynthia.
He was preceded in death by his wife Susie; and siblings, Janice and Edward.
Bugsy was cremated. He will be missed dearly.
Bugsy’s ashes, together with his wife Susie’s, will be buried August 12 th at 4:00 pm at Half-Day Cemetery. www.davidsonfuneral.com
