Gail Miles, 93, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.
He was born October 21, 1922 in Topeka, the son of Laurel Floyd and Ethel Armita (Rosa) Miles. He served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII as a bombardier, flying missions over Germany, France and Belgium. Upon his return he married Doris R. Kirkwood in Topeka.
Gail was employed by Fleming Food Company for over 30 years, retiring in 1984.
Survivors include his daughter, Barbara (Lon) Kruger, Norman, OK; two grandchildren, Angie (Mike) Ciklin, Miami, FL and Kevin Kruger, Flagstaff, AZ; two great-grandchildren, Avery and Wyatt Ciklin; and his sister, Virginia (Dick) Lynn, Topeka.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Floyd and Alvin Miles; and a sister, Iva Kruger.
A funeral ceremony will be 1 p.m., Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka. Interment will follow at the Prairie Home Cemetery, Topeka. Gail will lie in state after 3 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
