OBITUARY: Mrs. Vera L. Wright
Mrs. Vera Lorraine Wright, 83, of Topeka died Sat. morning, March 19, 2005 at Midland Hospice House, Topeka. She was born July 14, 1921 in North Topeka the daughter of Fay and Lilly (Bahm) Swader.
Vera was a clerk at Wonder Bread before retiring. She was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church.
Vera and Kenneth Carl Wright were married April 2, 1938 at Lawrence, KS. He preceded her in death on July 31, 1992. She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Constance Frye in May, 1998; a great-grandson: Daniel Boyd in November, 1998; and a brother, Ora Swader in 1990.
Surviving are 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Denice & Rob Large of Topeka and Sharon & Ken Marquardt of Denver, CO; a son and daughter-in-law: Frank L. "Butch" & Vicki Wright of Mentor, OH; a sister: Delores Silversmith of Topeka; a brother: Bernie Swader of Topeka; 8 grandchildren: Chris, Renae, Dan, Darren, Laura, Kevin, Jason, and Kyle; 9 Great-Grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Mon., March 21, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Interment will be in Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery. Vera will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
