Velma Walker, 84, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2009.
She was born August 29, 1925 in Springdale, KS, the daughter of Frank and Florence (Clapper) Phillips. She was retired from the State of Kansas.
Velma married Glen Walker October 22, 1941. He preceded her in death on October 21, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter. Survivors include her daughters, Joyce Myers and Linda Walker, both of Topeka; three grandchildren, and two great-grandsons.
No services are planned. Burial will be at Rochester Cemetery, Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Rd., Topeka, KS 66617. Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel is assisting the family.
