OBITUARY: Velma Lucille Frybarger-DeHart
Velma Lucille Summers "Mugsy" Frybarger-DeHart, 94, Topeka went to be with our Lord on March 31, 2008. She was born on Sept. 8, 1913, at Westmoreland, in a tent along the creek, the daughter of Claude G. and Bertha (Woods) Summers.
She was employed in the KNI Laundry and State Hospital Laundry, retiring in August, 1980. Mugsy had many hobbies that kept her busy fishing, canning, gardening, cooking, and taking care of others. She had volunteered at Catholic Community Services.
She was married to Lawrence Frybarger who preceded her in death. She was also proceeded in death by her son, Larry Dean Frybarger, and a daughter, Bonnie Fay Segenhagen.
She is survived by her daughter: Connie Kay (Patrick) Hanrahan; 11 grandchildren: Brenda, Patrick, Nickie, Jamie, Jody, Tommy, Diana, Larry, Ellen, Mark, and Nanci; many great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; and many, many who loved her dearly.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Sat., April 5, 2008, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka. Graveside services will be at 1:30 PM, Sat., at Antioch Cemetery at Bigelow in Marshall County. Mugsy will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Fri., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 PM.
