Velda A. Goodman

Velda A. Goodman, 75, of Topeka passed away on September 3 2023 at her home in Topeka. She was born at St. Mary’s Kansas on October 12, 1947 the daughter of Weldon and Edna Catt Simpson. Velda worked at King Radio in Ottawa.

Survivors include her children, Robert Lee Markham, Jr., Larry Markham, Brian K. Markham, Robbie Goodman, Terry Goodman, Matthew Goodman, David Goodman, Patience Goodman and Hope Goodman all of Topeka; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren also surviving are;  her brothers, Neil Simpson, Gerald Simpson Donald Simpson; sisters, Lola, and Nona.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Goodman, her daughters Peace Goodman and Leah Markham, and her sister, June.

Funeral services will be held at11:00 am on Monday, September 11, 2023 at the Davidson Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at the Valencia Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1-3 on Sunday afternoon, September 10, 2023 at the funeral home.
