Van C. Williams

Van C. Williams, age 74, currently of Topeka, formerly of Las Vegas, NV, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021 in Topeka.  Van was born August 20, 1946 in Cambodia.  She married George Montgomery, they later divorced.  She married James “Jim” Williams December 6, 2006.  She worked as a blackjack dealer at Prairie Band Casino and formerly at the Lucky Dragon Casino in Las Vegas.  She belonged to several pool leagues in Topeka. She was the “Lady Player of the Year” in 1997.   Van is survived by her husband, Jim Williams of Topeka; two sons, Michael (Angela) Montgomery of Watertown, NY and John Montgomery of Topeka; a daughter, Vickie Baker of Topeka; three brothers, Minh Nguyen of Wichita, Phuoc Nguyen of California and Jimmy Nguyen, also of California and 11 grandchildren.

Cremation is planned.  Private family services are planned for a later date.
