Twila R. Smith, 94, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2009.
She was born June 17, 1915 in Talmage, KS, the daughter of Joseph and Florence (Dornberger) Pease.
She was a member of the Kansas Avenue United Methodist Church, and Helena Chapter of O.E.S. since 1962.
Twila married Adelma Smith on Feb. 3, 1940 in Manhattan, KS, relocating to Eureka, KS until his death in 1961. Survivors include a niece, Evelyn Young of St. George, KS; and a nephew, Larry Pease of Topeka.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka. Mrs. Smith will lie in state after 3 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Graveside services and interment will be 2 p.m., Saturday at Greenwood Cemetery, Eureka, KS.
