Tracy Jean Attig

June 7, 1964 — March 30, 2020

Tracy J. Attig, age 55, of Topeka, passed away Monday morning, March 30, 2020 at the Rossville Manor after a long illness.  Tracy was born June 7, 1964 in Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Maryland the daughter of Jack William, Sr. and Lura Ann (Siefkas) Attig.  Tracy attended Seaman schools before the family moved and Tracy graduated from Corn Bible Academy in Corn, Oklahoma. Tracy then received her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from Washburn University in education.  Tracy worked for the Topeka/Shawnee County Library.  Tracy was an active member of the Bethel Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and AWANA.  She enjoyed her church, animals, nature, a variety of sewing activities, watching her favorite sports of tennis and figure skating, and spending time with her nieces.

Tracy was preceded in death by her father, Jack Attig, Sr. October 17, 2018.

Tracy is survived by her mother, Lura Attig; a brother, Jack W. (Colleen) Attig, Jr., and a sister, Melissa Garrett.

Graveside services will be Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rochester Cemetery.  She will lie in state Wednesday from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church/AWANA Program or the CAT Association and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.  davidsonfuneral.com
