Tina Lee Buschbom, a lifelong resident of Meriden, Kansas, died on Wednesday the 1st of December in her home, surrounded by family, at the age of 53.
Born in 1968 in Winchester, Tina was the eldest of two children. In 1994 she married Bill Buschbom, which, to her credit, she said she would do all over again. Tina worked for nearly 30 years at Burlingame Rd. Animal Hospital, where her love for animals made a meaningful impact on hundreds of pets and owners alike.
Tina, much like her mother, was the bearer of an uncommonly pure heart and a beautiful soul that enchanted those around her. She is remembered as an excellent wife, an exceptional and wholly dedicated mother, and the most compassionate friend one could have. Most call her a sweetheart, but those who know her best simply call her perfect.
Tina battled with an aggressive cancer for over a year, and through to her final moments, demonstrated astonishing strength and grace. There is no greater measure of character than how one responds to a terminal illness; Tina's character is what we all aspire to be, what we all wish to be.
Tina is survived by her husband, Bill Buschbom, her son, Ty Buschbom, her chosen sister, Mindy Bowman, her brother, Larry Cook, and her father, Ralph Cook.
A ceremony will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Parker-Price in Topeka.
