Thomas (Tom) W. Logan, 64, of Moody, Alabama passed away December 3, 2011. He was born in Topeka, Kansas on December 10, 1946 to William (Bill) and Kathryn (Kate) Noller Logan. Tom graduated from Seaman High School in 1964 where he participated in Basketball, Track and served as Captain of the Football Team. He was also very active in Student Government. Tom attended Washburn University where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, later graduating from Kansas State University with a degree in Construction Science. He enjoyed following Kansas State Sports, no matter what area of the country he resided.
Tom moved around the country throughout his career in the construction industry, living in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Florida, finally settling in Moody, Alabama. Many of those years were spent with Southwind Construction, where he developed many treasured friendships.
Tom is survived by his wife Glenda, Moody, Alabama; daughter Elizabeth (Andrew) Johnson, of Topeka; sister Carolyn (Eric) Colgrove of Topeka as well as step daughters Dawn Perry and Tonya Bailey. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Tom was cremated, the family will spread his ashes around a tree planted in his honor. A visitation for family and friends will be held at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave. on December 9th from 5:00 – 7:00. Memorial Contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
