Thomas I. Brewer, 68, Topeka, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016.
He was born August 13, 1947, in Heber Springs, Arkansas, the son of Oral and Bernice (Rickman) Brewer.
Tom worked for KDOT for 40 years, retiring as a computer programmer. He was a member and Past Master of Golden Rule Lodge No. 90, A.F. & A.M.
On June 3, 1967 he married Jane Bridgeman in Fayetteville, AR. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Matthew (Heather) Brewer, three siblings James (Donna) Brewer, Betty (Dewey) Davis and Barbara Salehi; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Beth Ann Brewer-Hare.
Funeral services will be 10 am, Monday, January 25, 2016 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel. Interment will be at Rochester Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 pm until 4 pm at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family for the Sara Scarlett Education Fund, c/o Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel.
