Thomas Dudley Marshall
Thomas Dudley Marshall, 73, Topeka, Kansas, died Friday, May 30, 2014, at Midland Hospice House, Topeka, Kansas. He was born February 5, 1941, at Mayetta, Kansas the son of Thomas William and Pauline Lucille (Lunger) Marshall.
Tom graduated from Seaman High School, class of 1960. He was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in 1997. He was a life-time member of the Topeka Bowling Association and for many years served as secretary of the Goodyear Bowling League. Tom was a former member of Moose Lodge # 555.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years: Janice Kay (Maust) Marshall; children: David Thomas Marshall (Lisa Oathout-Marshall) of Haysville, Kansas, Dana K. Marshall-Lady (Chad) of Topeka, and Danny J. Marshall (Jonni) of Ozark, Missouri; brothers: Jim Marshall (Darlene) of Basehor, Kansas and Dale Marshall (Jan) of Topeka; seven grandchildren: Eric Thomas Marshall, Tevin Rutherford, Mikayla Lady, Hannah Lady, Drew Marshall, Katie Marshall, and Jessie Marshall; two sisters-in-law: Joyce Dickerson of Topeka, Kansas, and Joan Newland (Jerry) of Meacham, Oregon; a brother-in-law: Bob Maust (Sandy) of Perry, Kansas; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Donna Horton.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue. Interment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery NW 35th and Menoken Road, Topeka, Kansas.
Tom will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Tuesday, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.
