Thomas W. Crouse, 58, Topeka, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016.
Tom was born November 23, 1957 in Independence, MO, the son of William F. and Mabel (McMillian) Crouse. He graduated from Liberty High School in Liberty, MO.
He was an entrepreneur who founded and operated Crouse Window Supply for 16 years, previously worked as field manager for Snap-On Tools, which brought him to Topeka, where he found the love of his life. He was currently employed by Goodyear as a maintenance mechanic.
He was a member of ABATE of Kansas and Sons of the American Legion.
Tom was a skilled craftsman who loved fast cars and motorcycles, restoring anything with an engine, NASCAR races, camping with friends at the lake, along with pizza and beer on Friday nights and Saturday mornings.
Tom married Lynne Sleeper on November 20, 1992. Other survivors include daughter, Jennifer Crouse; step-sons, Eric (Amber) Leonard, Daniel (Elise) Leonard, and three grandchildren, all of Topeka; father, Bill Crouse, Liberty, MO; and siblings, Becky Kempf, Lee's Summit, MO, Richard (Angelia) Crouse, Excelsior Springs, MO, Debby Crouse, Kansas City, MO, Judy (James) Lyman, Kansas City, MO, and Nancy (Jim) Spring, Kansas City, MO, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Crouse.
Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. The family would appreciate bringing memories or sharing stories of Tom's life, written is welcomed. Visitation will follow the service. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
