Thomas P. "Turk" Chapman, 52, of Topeka, passed away on December 18, 2022 at his home surrounded by his wife and family.
Turk was born on June 9, 1970 to Thomas and Patricia (Schwartz) Chapman in Topeka, Kansas. He graduated from Seaman High School in 1988.
Turk worked as a Lubrication Specialist for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for 29 and a half years.
On September 23, 2013, Turk married Kristina L. Chapman (Lemon). Together they lived in Topeka and beautifully blended their families.
Turk was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, educating himself with survival books, and golfing. His family meant the world to him. Turk loved spending time with his wife and children. He was their biggest supporter in everything they did. In his earlier years, Turk was also a skydiver, where he would jump and land into many football and baseball stadiums. Turk will be remembered most for the way he truly lived life. He made an impact on every person he met. You were "bettered" for knowing him.
Turk is survived by the love of his life, Kristina; children, LaKeisha (Nathan O'Bier) Lemon, Derrick Wilson, and Lewis Wilson; sister, Angie (Kyle) Athon; grandchild, Lucas Walton; nephew, Matthew (Courtney) Athon and niece, Morgan (Eric) Waterman; and a host of extended family members that he cared about deeply.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Parker Price Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Parker Price Funeral Home at 10:00 am
Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care or Helping Hands Humane Society.
