Thomas Eugene "Tom" Barngrover
Thomas Eugene "Tom" "Bro" Barngrover, 57, Topeka, passed away at his home on January 24, 2018, from natural causes. He was born December 27, 1960, in Topeka the son of Janice Claire (Fields) and Cassius Andrew Barngrover, Jr.
Tom graduated from Highland Park High School. He was employed by Casa Mexican Restaurant during high school and after high school for Kent Brown Chevrolet. For over 30 years he has been employed by the Shawnee County Refuse Department. He loved WWE Wrestling, auto racing, and being with his brother, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Grace and Cassius Barngrover, Sr. and Margaret and Clarence Fields; and brother-in-law: Doug Reiman.
Surviving are his parents: Cash and Janice Barngrover of Topeka; siblings: Vickie Sullivan (Bret) of Linwood, Pamela Reiman of Topeka, Jon Barngrover of Topeka, and Janell Zeiler (Jeff) of Topeka; nieces and nephews: Joe Sullivan, Dustin Sullivan, Bryan Reiman, Chris Reiman, Jonna Ortega, Andrea Barngrover, Kylie Zeiler, and Austin Zeiler; six great-nephews; 2 great-nieces; and his best friend from childhood: Frank Stiff.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 AM, Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka. Interment will be in West Lawn Memorial Gardens, 820 SW Auburn Road, Topeka.
Bro will lie in state after 5:00 PM, Friday, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Hospitals for Children / St. Louis c/o Arab Shriners, 1305 South Kansas Avenue, Topeka, KS 66612-1332.
