Thelma Hagen
Thelma L. Hagen, 83, Topeka, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, in Topeka.
Mrs. Hagen was a legal secretary for the state of Kansas and later for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. She also owned a hardware store with her husband in Havensville.
She was born March 9, 1919, in Mayetta, the daughter of Howard Elbert and Lillian Marie Reynolds Ray. She graduated from Mayetta High School and was valedictorian of her senior class. She attended Strickland Business College.
Mrs. Hagen was past worthy matron in Eastern Star.
She married George F. Hagen on March 30, 1941, in Rock Creek. He died July 31, 1989.
Survivors include a brother, Eldon Ray, Mayetta; and a sister, Alma Fitzgerald, Topeka.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Parker-Price Mortuary. Burial will be in Mayetta Cemetery. Mrs. Hagen will lie in state after 3 p.m. Monday at the mortuary, where visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m.
