OBITUARY: Mrs. Thelma E. Workman



Mrs. Thelma Elizabeth Workman, 97, Topeka, died Wed., July 25, 2007, at Plaza West. She was born Feb. 10, 1910, at Burlingame, the daughter of John and Grace (Masters) Hill.

Thelma was a member of Beulah Chapter # 34, Order of the Eastern Star.

She was married to William Harold Workman, who preceded her in death in 1981. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers, Lee and Howard Hill.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law: H. Duane and Shirley Workman of Topeka; 2 sisters: Alma Atkinson of Oakley and Elsie Grau of Arizona; 3 grandsons: Scott Workman of Lecompton, Todd Workman and wife, Marilyn, of Topeka, and Shawn Workman of Kansas City, MO; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Tues., July 31, 2007, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, followed by Eastern Star Services conducted by Beulah Chapter # 34, O.E.S. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Thelma will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Monday at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
