Tanner Judd Allen
Tanner Judd Allen, 21, Topeka, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2004, at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. He was born Dec. 16, 1982, in Topeka, and was a lifelong Topeka resident. He graduated from Seaman High School and Kaw Area Technical School in computer repair and networking. He was a student at Washburn University when he became ill. Mr. Allen worked in customer service at JM Bauersfeld's in North Topeka and was a computer operator at St. Francis Health Center. Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eldina Judd, of Topeka, and Ralph and Roberta Allen, of Abilene. Survivors include his father and stepmother, Lee and Teresa (Plamann) Allen, of the home; his mother, Deborah Jo (Judd) Allen, Topeka; a brother, Nathan L. Allen, of the home; a sister, Keturah E. Schissel, Rio Rancho, N.M.; and grandparents, O.W. Judd, Topeka, and Walter and Norma Plamann, Hiawatha. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Ho pe Cemetery. Tanner will lie in state after 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 555 N.
