T. Craig Stith
T. Craig Stith, 77, Topeka passed away 03/10/2016. He was born 11/28/1938, in Wayne County, NC to Elbert M. and Nancy K. (Summerlin) Stith.
Craig attended Wayne County Schools and Goldsboro, NC High School and Johnson County Community College. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served 4 years.
He was employed for over 20 years at Western Electric (AT&T) and retired from VA Hospital as a HVAC technician. He also held many certificates from Vo Tech and graduated from the Oklahoma Horseshoeing School.
He married Karen K. Kier on April 21, 1963, and they were married for 53 years. She survives.
Also surviving are a son: Chad M. Stith; and grandchildren: Ethan and Avery Stith of Cedar Park, TX. He was predeceased by his parents, and brothers, Billy and Evys M. Stith.
Craig loved muscle cars and owned two 1962 Chevrolets, one in 1962. He liked to attend cruise nights and display his car. He also owned and raised registered quarter horses and did horseshoeing for over 40 years in the Topeka area.
He was a member of Golden Spokes Car Club, Kansas Prairie Pickers, and Topeka Genealogy Society.
A celebration of life will be at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. The family encourages casual clothes and drive your classic car.
