OBITUARY: Susan Jeanette "Sue" Baum-Carson
Susan Jeanette "Sue" Baum-Carson, 49, Topeka died Sat., Jan. 21, 2006, at St. Francis Hospital.
She was born Nov. 28, 1956 in Topeka, the daughter of LaVern E. "Bud" and Marjorie Lois (Robertson) Hollenbeck.
She had a large heart and was a warm and generous person. She loved animals, especially her cat, Pidge. She loved to read and to play Scrabble with her mom. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father on Nov. 25, 2005.
Survivors include her husband, Dewayne Carson, her mother, two daughters, Kimberly (Robert) Schaal, Miami, OK, Angela (Gary) Morris, Poplar Bluff, MO; 6 grandchildren, Cody, Cory, Tyler, Sabryna, Kaytlin, and Kyle; a brother, James (Linda) Hollenbeck, Merriam, KS; 3 sisters, Joyce (Don) Holdeman, Roxanne Hubbard, and Christine Hollenbeck, all of Topeka.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Thurs., Jan. 26, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence. Interment will be in Topeka Cemetery. Sue will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Wed. at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Contributions may be made to the Sue Baum-Carson Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 5302, Topeka, KS 66605, to help offset funeral expenses.
