Stuart Allen Robinson, 59, of Topeka, passed away at Midland Hospice on Sunday, May 12, 2024.
Stuart was born on July 15, 1964 in Pomona, California. The son of Clarence A. and Barbara A. Robinson, one of 4 children. He lived in Colorado Springs for the majority of his childhood and later moved to Topeka, where he attended Shawnee Heights High School.
Stuart would come to meet the love of his life, Tammie (King) and were married on February 7, 1986 at Seaman Congregational Church in Topeka, Kansas. Together, they raised two wonderful children; Vanessa and Austin. Through sickness and health, Stuart and Tammie shared 38 years of marriage.
Stuart worked at various mechanic and carpentry businesses over the years, and went on to start his own business, Robinson Remodeling and Home Maintenance. Presented with the opportunity to dive further into the painting industry, he joined and spent many years working at Jellison Painting, until his stroke ended his career in 2013.
Stuart was a jack of all trades, a handy man who could tackle any project with confidence. He was a man of determination and ambition and was best known for his loud, stubborn and tough as nails personality; he rarely lost an argument. With an “alpha” persona, he was the center of attention and life of the party. He loved the outdoors and spending time with family and friends camping and boating. He was an avid hunter in his younger years but his true passion was fishing, specifically walleye. For many years he competed in Kansas Walleye Association tournaments at various Kansas lakes; he was always top ranked, bringing home the “big fish”. If he wasn’t at work, he was on his boat with a fishing rod in one hand and a Twisted Tea in the other.
Stuart was admired for his incredible strength and perseverance and will be deeply missed by those that loved him so dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Tammie Robinson, children Vanessa Robinson and Austin Robinson (Amanda) and seven grandchildren: Broden, Robbie, Linken, Brock, Oakley, Sawyer and Summer; sister in law Lorie King (Greg), siblings Heidi Robinson, Eric Robinson, and Heather Reichuber (Kevin), and nieces and nephews.
Cremation is planned and the family invites you to attend a Celebration of Life in honor of Stuart at Lake Shawnee, Shelter House # 3 (3916 SE Memory Point, Topeka, KS 66609) on June 21, 2024 from 4:00pm to 10:30pm.
