Steven T. Hall, 54, Topeka, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012 at his home.
He was born March 6, 1958 in Dayton, OH, the son of Richard and Mary (Schleininger) Hall. He was a graduate of Topeka High School.
Mr. Hall was employed by the United States Postal Service in Topeka, retiring after 32 years of service. He was currently employed by Cotton-O'Neil Clinic.
He was a member and served as Treasurer, and Worship Leader of Berryton Baptist Church. He was a member and Past-President of the American Postal Workers Union of Topeka, Local No. 270 and held various positions at the State level of APWU. He was an active Booster Club member of Highland Park High School.
Steve and Natalie (Shotts) were married on June 7, 1975 at Wanamaker Road Baptist Church, Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include two children, Heather R. (Dion) Davis, and Gerrad C. (Molly) Hall, all of Topeka; five granddaughters, Hannah, Morgan and Kamryn Davis and Macie and Addaline Hall; his mother Mary Gehrt, Topeka; two sisters, Rene Hall, Topeka and Denise (Ron) Williams, Seabrook, TX; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, March 30, 2012 at the First Southern Baptist Church, 1912 SW Gage Blvd, Topeka, KS 66604. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Topeka. Steve will lie in state after 3 p.m., Thursday at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Steven Hall Memorial Fund, to be used for his grandchildren's college education and sent in care of CoreFirst Bank., PO Box 5049, Topeka, KS, 66605.
