OBITUARY: Stella Lucile Foster Lutz
Stella Lucile Foster Lutz, 94, Topeka, passed away Thurs., Oct. 27, 2005 at The Topeka Presbyterian Manor. She was born Dec. 5, 1910 in Topeka, KS the daughter of Pastor Clarence Edward Foster and Lucile Mabel Fritz Foster.
She married Frank Lee Lutz, Nov. 15, 1927. He preceded her in death Oct. 10, 1980. Also preceding her in death were a son, Frank Maurice Sept. 5, 1928; six brothers: Byron, Melvin, Raymond, Clem, Clifford, and Victor Foster; and two great-grandchildren.
She is survived by five children: Coleen Crook, Richard Lutz and his wife Lois, and Ronald Lutz all of Topeka; June Langley and her husband Jeff, Lee's Summit, MO, and Jeanne Barnhart, Overland Park, KS. Also 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Lutz was a life-time member of the Pentecostal Grace Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She worked at Pelletiers Department Store, was an Avon Representative, managed the Tecumseh Cafe, Stella's Villa and Stella's Burger Nook. She also managed the concession stand during the annual church camp meetings.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Mon., Oct. 31, 2005 at the former Pentecostal Grace Church, 437 NE Twiss, Topeka. Burial will be in the Topeka Cemetery. Mrs. Lutz will lie in state after 12:00 noon, Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence where the family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
