Shirley Beals

Shirley Beals, 72, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021.   She was born on June 16, 1949 at Tribune, Kansas the daughter of Clarence and Ethel Sides Reimer.   She was married to Leroy Beals on July 11, 1970 at West Bethany Free Methodist Church in Leoti, Kansas.  Shirley was a member there until moving to Topeka in 2000.  She loved to sew and cook.  She enjoyed all the holidays when her family was together.   She always seemed to have a pet cat and Shirley enjoyed playing “Words with Friends” on the internet.

Survivors include her husband Leroy Beals of Topeka; children, Angela Hollan and husband James of North Pole, Alaska and Shawn Beals and wife Arion of Topeka; seven grandchildren, Wyatt, Annabell, Waylon, Abigail, Brendan, Jayden and Alexa; sisters, Cindy Rybacki of Bloomington, Nebraska and Connie Anderson of Lindsborg, Kansas; brother, Wesley Reimer of Sharon Springs, Kansas, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Delbert Reimer.

Graveside services will be held at Rochester Cemetery in Topeka.  Memorial contributions may be made to Davidson Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses, 1035 N. Kansas Avenue, Topeka, KS 66608.
