Shirley Ann Bailey

Shirley Ann Bailey, age 74, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at her home.  Shirley was born December 15, 1947 in Topeka the daughter of James and Ruth (Hamlin) Bailey.  Shirley graduated from Shawnee Heights High School.  She married Clarence Pobjoy May 10, 1968.  They later divorced and he passed away January 26, 2017.  Shirley had several jobs, such as a daycare, factory work, in-home care, but mainly she worked as a school crossing guard while living in Lawrence.  Shirley loved quilting, crocheting and fishing.

Shirley is survived by three sons, Clarence Pobjoy, Jr. of Lawrence, Brian (Tracy) Pobjoy of Lawrence and Jason Pobjoy of Topeka; a brother, Ray Bailey of Topeka; a sister, Mary Kiener of Florida; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.  Inurnment services will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery.    www.davidsonfuneral.com
