Sherman F. "Fred" Robinson
Sherman F. "Fred" Robinson, 62, Topeka, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, at his home. Mr. Robinson was an over-the-road truck driver for more than 30 years. He earlier had been a paint contractor for about 10 years. he was born Aug. 10, 1941, in Clay Center, the son of Floyd Earl and Frances Imogene Willhof Robinson. He grew up and attended schools in Eskridge. He married Hazel M. Streeter in May 1960 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Ann Murphy, Tucson, Ariz.; grandchildren, Jamie, Dustin, Megan Murphy and Ethan Dickerson; three sisters, Carrie Sue Cox and Shirley Ann Billings, both of Topeka, and Linda Lou White, Grantville; and a brother, Robert A. Robinson, Topeka. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Parker-Price Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Athelstane Cemetery near Longford. Mr. Robinson will lie in state after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice, 200 S.W.
