Sheree Gomez

Sheree Lyn Gomez, 67, of Topeka passed away on September 22nd, 2023. She was born to John & Betty (Tice) Myers on February 17th, 1956 in Topeka, Kansas. Sheree graduated from Seaman High School in 1974. In 1974, Sheree married Dennis McDonald, and had two sons, Kyle & Bryan. They later divorced. In 1986, she married Christopher Gomez, and had their favorite daughter, Mayme. They later divorced.

Sheree worked for the Shawnee County Health Agency, in the Business Office. She retired in 2011. In her early life, Sheree was a long-time member of Northland Christian Church. She recently had joined Fellowship Bible Church.

Sheree will be remembered for her love of music, spending time with family, and politics. She was an avid concert goer, enjoying most types of music such as hairbands, 70's rock, and The Beatles. She was an awesome mom/grandmother and enjoyed joking and debating with her family.

Preceding Sheree in passing are her father, and her brother, Randy Myers. She is survived by her three children; a daughter-in-law, Angie; son-in-law Matt Hester; and her mother. Also surviving Sheree are her seven grandchildren, Sailor & Nicholas McDonald; Camryn, Davin, & Emerson McDonald; and Matt & Trey Hester. Her two siblings also survive, Shelia Lewis (John) & Jim Myers (Pierce).
Visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Friday, September 29th, at Parker-Price Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, September 30th, at Parker-Price. Burial will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
