Sharon S. (Waetzig) Priddy, 80, of Silver Lake passed away on July 5th, 2024 at Midland Hospice. She was born on December 19, 1943 in Topeka, Kansas, to James Robert Waetzig and Georgia Mae (Hill) (Waetzig) (Riley) O’Dell. She attended Carbondale schools.
Sharon married Floyd C. Priddy on July 14, 1961. He preceded her in death.
She retired from Presbyterian Manor. Sharon and Floyd owned and operated the Corner Bar in Silver Lake for many years. Sharon was an avid western TV and movie fan and absolutely adored the music of Elvis Presley. She enjoyed her yard and spending time with her family.
Sharon is survived by her son Chuck (Melissa) Priddy; her daughter Sara (Dwight – deceased) Nichols; her granddaughters Allison (Ryan) Hay, her great-granddaughter Ellarie; Caitlyn (Nicholas) Scott, her great-grandson Declan; her brother and sisters Beverly (Darrell) Vail; Karen (Bill-deceased) Schalk; Harold (Susan) Waetzig; and Sally (James) Worsley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James Waetzig; and a sister, Helen (Lester-deceased) Brock.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 12th beginning at 1:00 pm until the service hour. Funeral service will be begin at 2:00 pm. at Parker-Price and Davidson Cremation, Funerals and Receptions, 245 NW Independence in Topeka.
